If you haven’t heard yet, we’re letting you know now – with a time lag.
To change it up a bit, here’s one in-house project! Drive-In Cinema is a humanitarian and cultural initiative whose goal was to revitalize our shaky social life. We were shaken by earthquakes, we were hit by a pandemic, but the light at the end of the tunnel still shines. On that occasion, we organized the first public event in Zagreb after a looong time.
Problem: At a time when the world and the economic situation around us are collapsing, we decide to turn the wheel, find a glimmer of hope and offer optimism to all citizens eager to have fun after all the hardships in the first half of 2020.
Idea: Drive-In event in Zagreb! Two huge screens, a beautiful location in the city, blockbusters and seats for 300 cars with a maximum of 600 people. All this with a humanitarian note of donating ticket income to CHC Sestre milosrdnice.
Solution: Humanitarian and cultural festival from May 14th to May 21st. Although the original plan envisioned a duration of 7 days, the (severe) weather conditions forced us to postpone certain screenings, and due to great interest of the audience, the event lasted exactly 9 days.
After we collected the permits, announced the program and informed the public about this noble-cultural initiative under the stars, the event could start. Let’s see what it all looked like – in pictures!
Still haven’t had enough? Great, because we also have the official aftermovie video! We would like to thank all the visitors, sponsors and partners who made this idea come to life. We helped CHC Sestre milosrdnice, and at least for a few moments we forgot about all the darkness that befell us this year. Cheers and drive safe!
